We're going to try and have this website fully completed and customized just how we want it by this weekend! So this weekend we all need to go out and spread the word about 318racing.org! TELL EVERYONE, this website is for anyone who is into cars no matter how ricey their car is haha.

I changed the forum's fixed width to 1100 pixels (up from 990px). I know I need to tweak things like make the banner wider now. But let me know what you think. Too much? Too little? Im not going to switch it to an automatic width (where it automatically snaps to browser width) because.. It's not our style.
:8': Fixed it. Uploaded the entire /root/ from a backup, then reset bitfield cache if anyone gives a shit. Oh and the pages work. Press "What's New" and look at all those posts you weren't able to see before, 1, 2, 3, 4 pages and more! All that for pages in "What's New". I am going to set a complete test forum and database to test and fix any of the bugs that still exist (like the home page CMS template). That's what should have been done from the start :0:
Dont think about posting anything you would mind losing. Back it up of so. May have to restore a database file that is a few days old. If so, it's like a time machine for internets, so all data posted after that restore is lost. Just saying. Admibistration working hard on fixing the forum. "toilet bowl" is a now subforum of the "lounge" "drifting" & drifting discussion" are now under the "racing" group "drift events" has been moved from "events" to a subforum under "drifting discussion" "drifting discussion" has been renamed "drifting" -- (easier to rename than to transfer posts)
We added a new Plugin to the forum called iSpy! Czech it out: http://318racing.org/vaispy.php You can find the link for it up in here: Along with two other links we added up there for Calendar and Groups. WHAT IS iSPY? If you cant figure that out when you click it, its a real-time feed of all new posts.
I released the new emoticons :), and set them to their proper keyboard shortcuts. These took a lot of frickin' time. I had to resize them all from HUGE to 25x25, then clear out the white backgrounds from them. Unfortunately there is no "Awesome" smiley pack in existence so this sh!t is custom 8' LET ME KNOW if there is anything you want changed, like the shortcut for this or that :kiddinme: Also LET ME KNOW if you find a better 'wink' smiley. I had to make one, and I dont really like it (;)). I hope I got them all right :worry:
We claimed "Clyde Fant Veterans Park-ing Lot" as 318R's headquarters on "WTF do I care?" I discounted Premium Memberships for the Mayor of Clyde Fant 25% and if you simply check in there you get a 10% discount! "WTF do I want to use for?" I know, its another silly smartphone app. But when/if it actually becomes used in this city more than it is (like its used in any big city)- it's a pretty cool way to see what your friends are up to.

I executed an SQL query for everyone this morning which enables "Save a copy of PM to 'Sent Items' folder" by default. SQL queries can tend to mess things up, they're a powerful tool. The code I used was for vBulletin 3.8.x and we use 4.1.2- that said, if anyone experiences any problems as a result then let me know. It said it changed that setting for 667 of you, so most of our users are affected by this change. I hope you enjoy it! I was getting annoyed my sent messages weren't saving and I assume you were too.

Will be updating this post with little updates that I make. Admins also add things here so people know of stuff we're fixing. 1. Fixed new post/thread icons. Read threads are now grey, new threads/posts are red. Easy enough. 2. Setup a seperate Donate and Subscribe ( Premie ) buttons at the top that automatically add you to the Premier Group upon paying.. Also tracks donations via username. Nifty stuff yo. 3. Fixed all smilies. 4. Tapatalk installed 5. New posts link should work how its intended. 6. Green arrows on post icons indicate a thread you've posted in.
As some people noted, most importantly on base, old versions of Internet Explorer were not displaying the login form correctly. It was hidden behind the banner. For now, I made a temporary login form just above SI Motorsports. It took me awhile to figure this out due to VBulletins pain in the ass style management. I'll make it look pretty later on, just needed to get something up there quickly.
The admins are entertaining the idea of expanding our website to the entire state. We will change our name to a new domain, something like LouisianaRacing.org or whatever ideas we may have. Before we get further in this discussion, I want to stress that 318Racing.org would remain! Your bookmarks and everything won't have to change, and I'm sure a lot of us will keep calling it 318R anyways lol. I figured out why for some users, all of their PM's show up as new. Other users just arent having this issue. The reason has become clear to me, tonight was the first time I logged into my Tapatalk since moving to the new forum. It seems there is an issue, and Tapatalk ends up marking all your messages as unread. I thought about executing an SQL Query that would mark EVERYBODY'S messages as unread, but that'd become an issue for people who currently have legitimately unread messages. I have setup the Donation and Subscription settings which now ties into Paypal. Not sure honestly if it works correctly haha. You now have options to just donate a cerain amount, or donate 30 and receive 12 months of Premier Membership. If you donate $55 you'll receive $5 dollars off for a 2 year Premier Membership. We made the switch to Vbulletin finally. You'll notice a lot of new changes and features and it will take us all awhile to get fully comfortable with it. I'll get a new feature list going soon as I have more time, We've been working on this now for 7 hours straight.
Just added this new theme for something new! I also changed it where under your Control Panel under Preferences you can select which theme you like! If you find any themes online that you like for PHPBB3 and want it added let me know and you can have your own theme :D
Some people have shown interest in getting events started again, or creating new ones. So now is your chance to take action. If you want something to happen, become a volunteer. We need more leaders. So if you want to contribute your time to organizing an event, or making a logo, or getting decals and tshirts made, please post up what you want to handle.
